The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing $2.3 million to resurface 9.3 miles of US-2 from Vulcan in Dickinson County east to the Dickinson/Menominee county line.
The project includes asphalt cold milling and resurfacing, joint repairs, aggregate shoulders and pavement markings. The project includes a three-year materials and workmanship pavement warranty. It starts on Monday and the project should wrap up in mid-October.

The work will require single-lane closures. One alternating lane will be open via traffic regulators.
This project will result in a smoother driving surface and increased safety.
