The 2019 Upper Peninsula State Fair wrapped up Sunday night in Escanaba with picture-perfect weather, and a fireworks display over the U.P. International Raceway track.
Hundreds of people turned out in the grandstand to watch the 15-minute-long display. It put the finishing touches on the Fair’s tenth year under local control, after decades of being run by the State of Michigan.
Saturday was so busy, in fact, that long traffic jams and congestion were reported, prompting Escanaba Public Safety to require all traffic use the west side of the fairgrounds. Scroll down to see fireworks videos!
