The Upper Peninsula Non-Profit Conference will be held Thursday in Marquette, with 140+ Nonprofit leaders, staff, board members and volunteers from the Upper Peninsula and surrounding areas on hand. Nicole Devereaux, Conversational Intelligence® (C-IQ) Coach from Minneapolis, MN, has been named the Keynote Presenter for the Conference.
Devereaux helps leaders and teams have successful conversations so that they can expand their impact. She believes that teams can maximize individual strengths while maintaining unity toward a shared goal. She also believes the combination of courage and compassion, of creativity and ambition, can change the world.
In addition to her coaching career, Devereaux completed a #40for40 Challenge in 2019, raising and giving away $40,000 for her 40th birthday.
The Conference is organized by Grow & Lead: Community and Youth Development. It features five sessions, including keynote address, two workshop sessions, roundtable discussion and presentation of the Upper Peninsula Service Awards, which honor outstanding volunteers from across the U.P.
It runs from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 at the Northern Center, Northern Michigan University.
There will also be a Business After Hours event,sponsored by UPHP, Wednesday, October 16, at 5 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, Marquette.
And there will be a Reflection Breakfast held Friday, October 18, 8:30 – 10 a.m., at the Federated Women’s Clubhouse.
