The Lake Superior Community Partnership (LSCP) is hosting a webinar Friday, May 22nd at 12:00 p.m. with a presentation by the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.
Panelists for the webinar will include representatives from the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. The panelists will touch on the Work Share Program which allows employers to keep employees working with reduced hours, while employees collect partial unemployment benefits to make up a portion of the lost wages, as well as Preparedness Response plans required by Executive Order (E.O) 2020-91, which requires all open businesses or those about to reopen have a plan that must be readily available for employees, labor unions and customers. There will also be a question and answer portion for those tuning in.
The webinar is available for free online and is open to the public. To pre-register go to bit.ly/worksharewebinar. Questions can be submitted prior to the webinar to Emily Tardiff at etardiff@marquette.org. For those who may not be able to tune in on May 22nd, the LSCP will provide a recording of the webinar on their website, marquette.org after the webinar.
