The 2020 Upper Michigan Music Festival, set for Augist 13-through-15 in downtown Negaunee, has been cancelled.
Organizers with Thunder on The Iron Range made the announcement on Facebook Sunday, citing the governor’s extending of the stay at home order through at least June 12th as one factor.
Organizers also say they don’t know what restrictions will be on gathering size in August, and the City of Negaunee has suspended all street use permits.
“We had hoped by holding out as long as we have, we’d have a clearer picture of what mid-August restrictions might look like, but that just hasn’t happened,” the announcment read, in part.
Also, Country USA in Oshkosh has been rescheduled for that weekend, which “may create financial issues limiting our ability to bring you a truly awesome show.”
If you already bought tickets for the Negaunee event, they will refund you, no later than June 5.
