The 2020 graduating class of Gwinn Area Community Schools would like to invite you to share in their annual senior walk tonight, May 29th, at 7:00 p.m.
Traditionally, the students would walk the halls of all the secondary and elementary buildings as we would cheer these students for their hard work and success. This year, due to COVID closure, the seniors want to share their walk with our community through a walk down the boulevard of Gwinn, from the Gwinn High School to Gilbert Elementary and back. Please know that they will be following all social distancing guidelines as they celebrate the completion of their school careers.
Students will arrive and park in the student/gym parking lot at 6:15 p.m. Students are to report to their personal yard sign in the front of the school, which are separated by 6+ feet. Students will be provided a custom made Gwinn mask, it is their choice as whether or not to wear it. Students will be organized for the walk with a partner, 6 ft. apart, and in rows of two, 6 ft. apart.
We are asking the public to remain on the sidewalk at all times, not share handshakes, fist bumps, etc. with the graduates and practice social distancing guidelines. We do encourage the public to cheer, clap and wave as we congratulate our students.
