Michigan Adds 125 Cases, 18 New Deaths; None In U.P.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported Tuesday afternoon that the state’s number of coronavirus cases increased by 125 new cases, and there were 18 new deaths since Monday.

Michigan now has 60,189 confirmed positive cases and 5,790 COVID-19 deaths.

Michigan also tracks “probable” cases and deaths. Those are people who do not have a positive test result confirmed, but health officials believe their illnesses or deaths were related to COVID-19.

The state lists an addition 6,080 cases and 244 deaths in the “probable” category.

There were no new cases or deaths reported in the Upper Peninsula on Tuesday,

There have been 128 confirmed positive cases and 16 deaths linked to COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula since the crisis began in mid-March.

There have also been six “probable” cases listed in the Upper Peninsula.

As of Tuesday, Michigan has completed 982,084 tests, including 130,254 tests for antibodies and 851,830 diagnostic tests.
