The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported Sunday afternoon 483 new coronavirus cases and two new deaths.
Michigan now has 73,663 confirmed positive cases and 6,117 COVID-19 deaths.
In the Upper Peninsula, there have now been 335 confirmed positive cases and 18 deaths linked to COVID-19 in the nearly four months of this pandemic. There have been 37 “probable” cases listed in the U.P.
‘There were 16 new confirmed positive cases added in the U.P. on Sunday: six in Gogebic County, four in Dickinson County, three in Delta County, two in Marquette County, and one in Menominee County.
The state also updated its number on recoveries over the weekend. These are people who are still alive at least 30 days after testing positive or being diagnosed with COVID-19. The state now lists 55,162 people as recovered, which is 1,295 more recoveries in the past week.
Statewide, MDHHS now lists an additional 8,205 cases and 247 deaths in the “probable” category.
As of Sunday, the state completed 1,702,773 tests, including 197,569 tests for antibodies and 1,505,204 diagnostic tests.
