The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 465 new coronavirus cases on Monday, and one new death.
Michigan now has 93,185 positive test results since the crisis began five months ago, and 6,325 total deaths.
Monday’s 465 positive cases came from roughly 19,000 new diagnostic tests that were added to the statewide total.
The Upper Peninsula added eleven new positive test results on Monday. There were three cases each reported in Delta and Ontonagon Counties, two positive tests in Menominee County, and single cases in Gogebic, and Houghton, Iron Counties.
The U.P. has a total of 807 confirmed positive test results since the first case was reported back in March.
After the statewide report came out, Chippewa County reported two new cases. Those are not included in the tables listed below.
No new deaths were reported in the Upper Peninsula on Monday.
The last death reported in the U.P. was on June 26 in Iron County. Before that, the most recent death was on May 24, in Marquette County.
Statewide as of Monday, there have been 9,564 “probable” cases, and 267 deaths are listed as probable. This is where COVID-19 is suspected, but there is no positive test result to confirm it.
The state reports 103 “probable” cases for the Upper Peninsula, as of Monday.
As of Monday, Michigan has completed 2,607,728 tests. Of those, 2,368,782 tests are diagnostic tests, and 238,946 tests were for antibodies.
The MDHHS says that 67,778 people have recovered, which means they are still alive at least 30 days after diagnosis or onset. That’s an additional 4,142 recoveries in the past week. This is updated every Saturday.
