A home was damaged by fire Friday night in Escanaba.
Escanaba Public Safety says the call came in at around 7:00 in the 300 block of South 19th Street. When officers got there, they saw heavy smoke coming from the basement. Flames were also seen on the home’s main level.
One person got minor injuries in the fire, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Crews were on the scene until about 10:00 Friday night. No firefighters were hurt.
