A section of Forest Service Road (FSR) 3124, also known as the Borland Road, will be temporarily closed from Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29 for a culvert replacement.
Crew members on the Hiawatha National Forest’s St. Ignace Ranger District will be replacing a failing culvert on FSR 3124 near Brevoort Lake to maintain the integrity of the road. For their safety and that of the public, a half-mile section of the road will be closed between FSR 3124F to the north, and FSR 3455 to the south for the duration of the project.
During this time, the public is asked to find alternate routes while traveling in the area.
A map showing the location of the project and closure is available at the end of this news release, on the Forest website, and on the Forest’s social media accounts.
