Fire broke out again Friday night at a southside Escanaba home that was damaged by flames earlier in the day. Escanaba Public Safety was called again to 517 South 8th Street at just before 9:00 Friday night because the fire rekindled.
When crews got there, flames were seen shooting from the back of the two-story home. Escanaba Township Fire Crews were called to help, and the Delta County Search and Rescue warming trailer was brought in for a second time in the day.
Crews fought extremely cold conditions, with temperatures well below zero. They were still on the scene past 11:00 pm. More details on this second firefight will be posted here once they are released.
