On July 28th, 30-year-old, Nicholas Arcaro of Ishpeming Township was arraigned on eight felony counts of capturing an image of an unclothed person, eight felony counts of using a computer to commit a crime, and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.
The charges stem from an investigation completed by the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office into Arcaro allegedly capturing video up the dresses of female shoppers at local stores in Marquette Township. A search of Arcaro’s residence led investigators to electronic devices containing several videos that Arcaro allegedly captured using a camera built into his shoe. Arcaro was taken into custody and eventually released on an $8,500.00 cash bond.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Department Store Loss Prevention and the Michigan State Police Computer Crime’s Unit assisted in the investigation.
