Damoose Holds Chatfield’s House Seat In Eastern U.P.

The eastern U.P. state house seat vacated by the term-limited Lee Chatfield will stay in the Republican column.

John Damoose cruised to victory Tuesday in the 107th district that covers the eastern U.P. and northern lower peninsula, 61-percent to 39-percent. With 100-percent of the votes counted, Damoose had 31,623 votes and Democrat Jim Page had 20,324.
