The Carney-Nadeau Schools bond proposal passed on Tuesday by 23 votes.
According to the Menominee County Clerk’s office, the vote was 441 yes to 418 no. The proposal will fund new playround equipment, bleachers in the gym, and new windows throughout the building.
It was a slimmed-down version of a millage request that failed earlier this year. The plan for a new fitness center and robotics lab was removed from this proposal, and the tax increase will be levied for 3-and-a-half years as opposed to seven years.
