The Marquette County Health Department on Wednesday said pretty much what other health departments in the Upper Peninsula have said this week: we’re overwhelmed.
The health department says that there are more coronavirus cases than they have staff members to be able to investigate. They will be prioriotizing which positive tests they investigate, which means that in some cases, the health department will not be able to contact people who have been in close contact with that person.
If you test positive, health officials say you should call your close contacts and let them know.
