Executive Director Scott Czasak of the Escanaba Downtown Development Authority (DDA) made the following announcement today:
“Per the orders of MIOSHA and MIDHHS, effective immediately, the Escanaba DDA office is closed to the public until further notice. Business can be conducted via phone at 906-789-8696 or via e-mail at escanabadda@gmail.com. Thank you for your understanding, and please Spend Local to support our community businesses!”
The Escanaba DDA would encourage everyone to take all reasonable precautions to stay safe during this wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, while encouraging them to patronize local businesses who need the support of the Escanaba community during these difficult times.
“When I took this position, I embraced a saying: Yooper Strong. I have no doubt Escanaba will shine as an example of this mentality during this time,” said Czasak. “We will beat this and be stronger for it.”
The Escanaba Downtown Development Authority was created to see the downtown reinvented and revitalized with a mix of activity nodes focused on retail, residential, and entertainment uses; to see downtown become a vibrant business, entertainment and tourist destination with a diverse economy, including increased job opportunities which will continue to enhance the quality of life in the community.
