The Marquette Countyy Health Department on Wednesday declared a public health warning due to the rising number of coronavirus cases and hospitalizations in the area.
The health department says community spread is so vast that they can’t do effective case investigations and contact tracing. The department says the rish level is now critical
This warning has recommendations that are even more strict than the ones the Whitmer Adminsitration put into place a week ago. People are being urged to only go into businesses for essential supplies, and do it as quickly as possible and as infrequently as possible. The health department says that the more time you spend shopping, the greater the risk of spread.
Churches are being advised to discontinue large gatherings because of the severity of the situation.
Anyone with symptoms even “broadly associated” with COVID-19 should immediately isolate themselves rather than waiting on a test result. People over 60 with underlying health canditions should stay home and others in the home should wear a mask at all times. Read more below:
