A pedestrian was hurt when she was hit by a car in Escanaba over the weekend.
Escanaba Public Safety says it happened at about 9 in the morning at the Third Avenue North/Stephenson Avenue intersection, not far from the police station. Officers say the woman was in the crosswalk and had the right of way but the driver said he didn’t see her and hit her. She was taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital for treatment, and police say the injuries were not life-threatening. No names were released in Sunday night’s news release.
