Someone crashed their vehicle into a utility pole Wednesday afternoon in Escanaba, and then took off.
Escanaba Public Safety says the incident happened at around 2:00 in the 1300 Block of Willow Creek Road. The crash sheered the pole off and the truck and wires were showing from it. They used the sheriff’s department drone to track the suspect, and some members of the public also reported that the driver was near Menard’s.
Police found the suspect and made the arrest without incident. There were no serious injuries. Willow Creek Road was blocked for a time while city crews replaced the pole.
