The Delta County Chamber of Commerce Chair, Sue Helgemo (shown left) accepted a $25,000 donation from the Daniel J Kobasic Foundation for the new Multi-Use Complex located on the fairgrounds.
Presenting the donation is Krystal Kobasic, the co-director of the Daniel J Kobasic Foundation.
The foundation will be recognized for their generosity with their name etched into the donor wall located in the lobby of the Multi-Use Complex on the U.P. State Fairgrounds.
The donation will go directly to the loan balance of the building that is home to the Webster Marble Inventing the Outdoors Museum, Upper Peninsula Military Museum and Honor Flight Legacy, the U.P. State Fair offices, Delta Chamber of Commerce, Delta County Economic Development Alliance, and Visit Escanaba.
The facility also houses a conference room and a large multi-use room that can accommodate community and private events.
