The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) invites eligible organizations to apply for grants during their Summer Grant Cycle. Applications will be accepted online at mmacf.org/grants from July 15th until noon on July 29th. Eligibility guidelines are noted on the website. Grants are available from the following endowed Funds held at the Foundation:
The Youth Field of Interest Fund accepts applications for projects and programs which improve the quality of life for area youth by implementing and promoting social, educational, and recreational programs.
The Community Foundation established the Youth Field of Interest Endowment in 1999. Since then, the Foundation has awarded nearly $500,000 from this Fund to support youth programming across Marinette and Menominee Counties. The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), comprised of students aged 12 – 21, reviews grant applications and make determinations on awards to be given. YAC members participate in community service projects, attend workshops with like-minded youth, and may be elected to the Foundation’s Board of Directors with full voting rights and responsibilities. The MMACF encourages students at schools throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties to join YAC – call us today!
The Women’s Giving Circle Restricted Endowment Fund supports projects and programs which address issues directly impacting women and girls throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties.
Community members are encouraged to join the Women’s Giving Circle (WGC), which currently has over 200 members. When you become a member, your donation is combined with contributions from others and added to the Women’s Giving Circle Restricted Endowment Fund. As the Fund grows, so does the ability to award more grants to area nonprofits. Looking to become more engaged with the Community Foundation? Consider joining the Women’s Giving Circle Steering Committee or the WGC Grant Committee.
