‘Revolve’ Conference In Marquette To Highlight Diversity In Art

Organizers of Marquette’s Revolve Creative Collaboration Conference (RevolveCC) earlier today announced that the conference will take place November 5-6. Tickets are on sale now at revolvecc.net/registration.

RevolveCC is a creative collaboration conference hosted yearly in Marquette, MI with a mission to promote the creative class in the Midwest and support collaboration, cross-discipline works and creative business.

Keith Ellis, executive director of RevolveCC stated, “The Revolve Creative Collaboration Conference is about bringing together Marquette and the UP’s creative communities and providing new perspectives on the creative industry. We focus on bringing diverse voices as well as exposure to fields that often thrive in a collaborative environment. We want to inspire new and innovative creative ventures throughout the UP and beyond!”

This year, programming will be focused on diversity and collaboration across three creative elements:

1. Flex – Flexibility is key to being a creative. From our current remote work situations, to innovative solutions to bring your project to life, come see what others have done to “flex” their abilities.
2. Interact – Interact is about the many ways we communicate, whether through a physical process or the digital paths we forge together. How we work together is as much a part of our creations as the objects themselves.
3. Circuit – Circular iteration is something all creatives do. Practice and refinement are the focus of these talks, no matter the medium.

Keynote Speakers:

This year’s keynote speaker lineup is a robust and diverse group of accomplished artists representing a variety of creative disciplines. Conference attendees will get the opportunity to hear from Vashi Nedomansky, ACE, editor of 11 Hollywood films and over 50 national commercials, Antonio Michael Downing a.k.a. John Orpheus, multicultural musical artist and published author, Zoe Boekbinder, musician, activist, and founding creator of Prison Music Project, and Cal Lane, metalworker and sculptor known for creating delicate, lacy sculptures out of industrial steel products.
