An Iron River man in court this week on sexual assault charges.
Iron River Police say that Albert Shumate arraigned on two counts of 1st degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and one count of 2nd degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. He’s accused of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 10 at the time on 4 different occasions.
The child told Police she feared telling anyone because Shumate said he would “harm someone” if she did.
Schumate held in the Iron County Jail on a 150 thousand dollar bond.
