The Board of Directors of the Gary Abrahamson, Jr. Memory Care Center is pleased to invite everyone to attend this year’s 2022 Par-Tee Fundraising Dinner, which will be held on Thursday, April 7 at the Island Resort and Casino.
The event begins with games at 4 p.m. with cocktails and social hours where guests can mingle and play 18 different golf-themed games (no golf skills are necessary). Games will conclude at 5:45, with dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on many silent auctions and purchase raffle tickets for the opportunity to win prizes throughout the night.
The culinary staff at the Island Resort and Casino will be providing a delicious meal, including a selection of savory entrées, side dishes and salads. This year, in order to keep attendees safe, the Island Resort & Casino will be taking many precautions, such as serving guests their chosen salads, entrées, and desserts on separate plates in order to avoid contact with common utensils.
To purchase Par-Tee tickets for $50 each, or $400 per table of 8, or to donate a prize for the event, please call Mary at (906) 786-5810, Ext. 150, or (248) 420-0007, e-mail Mary at gajmcc2635@gmail.com or check The Gary Abrahamson, Jr. Memory Care Center Facebook page, where tickets will be available for purchase. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Delta County Chamber of Commerce building at 1001 North Lincoln Road, Escanaba (located directly before the Fairgrounds entrance).
Mary Uelmen, who manages the Gary Abrahamson, Jr. Memory Care Center (GAJMCC) and works in the Mission Advancement Office at the Bishop Noa Home, said, “We are very thankful to all those who attend our Par-Tees, and for all of our generous Par-Tee sponsors.”
“We would like to thank the community for their continued support,” Uelmen continued, “and have everyone save the date for this year’s Par-Tee, which will be Thursday, April 7 at the Island Resort and Casino.”
The Par-Tee raises money for the GAJMCC, a mission sponsored by the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres, and is solely funded by donations. The GAJMCC, located at 2635 1st Ave. S., Escanaba, provides care for those struggling with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related illnesses, and holds free education seminars for the community.
