Paige Breana Fox, 26, of Menominee, Michigan, was sentenced to 12 months in the Delta County Jail following the entry of a plea to Prisoner-Possessing Contraband and Prisoner-Bringing Contraband into Jail, each punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
On October 23, 2020, Fox was lodged at the Delta County Jail. Later, corrections officers observed that Fox appeared to be under the influence of something, as she was slurring her words. A search of Fox’s person was conducted and corrections officers located two white pills. Fox was able to gain control of one of the pills, and immediately swallowed it. The other pill was seized and was identified as Buprenorphine, or more commonly referred to as suboxone.
On October 26, 2020, Fox was observed to be acting suspiciously in the cell. Officers observed Fox take and swallow orange pills. Despite commands to drop the pills, Fox again swallowed the pills and resisted efforts by corrections officers to stop her from swallowing the pills. A search of her cell area was conducted and Fox was ultimately found to be in possession of other suboxone pills.
