Bethany Lutheran Church has donated to the City of Escanaba Recreation Department for their After School Program. The program is for students in 4th–12th grades.
Students can utilize the game room, gym, board games, wi-fi, laptops, take a book and leave a book program, crafts and visit. The facility is a supervised environment and provides food/snacks, hygiene items and school supplies.
Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “The After School Program has been running for several years for students in 4th to 12th grades. The Program is very popular and averages 20 – 30 kids every day. Students can come and utilize the facility from Monday to Friday 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Civic Center will be going to their summer hours for adults effective May 1st which will be 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are excited to partner with Bethany Lutheran Church and are very grateful they decided to donate to our program.”
