CLICK TO HEAR JACK HALL’S INTERVIEW WITH BETSY TUTZ, MQT HISTORY CENTER
The Marquette History Center’s Archeology Fair next weekend will feature something unique: a preview of a Fresh Coast Film Festival short documentary.
“That film is about a Lake Superior shipwreck,” the History Center’s Betsy Rutz tells RRN News. “The archaeology of Lake Superior is really made possible by those divers who dive and find these incredible shipwrecks. So, this is the story of the A.A. Parker, which was a twice-sunk ship.”
Rutz says the 12-minute long film will be played continuously on a loop throughout the daylong event at the Marquette History Center. She says that the event has grown to 15 booths, with the newest being one that talks about how people effect plants in the U.P.
Another display is about an archaeological dig in Alger County
The event will run from 11:00 until 3:00 this Saturday, Oct. 21.
