State Employee Retirees Association 906 Chapter, which encompasses all of the Upper Peninsula, planned an in person meeting at the Citizen’s Forum of Lakeview Arena in Marquette on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Unfortunately, state health department rulings have made the session impossibility.
The meeting was to begin with a Yooper Pasty luncheon at 11:30 a.m. EDT followed by a chapter meeting with featured speakers Rich Rossway, Congressman Jack Bergman’s Upper Peninsula Representative, Carrie Bartel-Petrin of AirMedCare and Brad Austin of the Marquette County Solid Waste Authority. In addition Bylaw Revisions and nomination of board members were to be considered by the chapter members present.
Any retiree from State of Michigan Employment is welcome at any meeting of 906 SERA by making a reservation with 906 Chapter Membership Chair Edgar Sommers II via email at: edgarl1966@yahoo.com . This was to be the first meeting of the year for the 906 Chapter.
The Chapter board will meet after the Health Department ban is set to terminate at the end of May to arrange meetings of the retirees.
