A home was damaged by fire Tuesday morning on Escanaba’s south side.
Escanaba Public Safety says the call came in shortly after 7 in the morning to come to 412 South 12th Street. When crews got there, there was smoke coming from the upper level of the home. A neighbor had saw the flames and told the homeowner, who was not aware that there was a fire going on.
Public Safety says the upstairs received fire, smoke, and water damage, but crews were able to put out the blaze without any injuries. The cause of the fire remains under invetsigation.
It was the second fire in a few days in Escanaba, after another blaze deestroyed a home two streets over early Saturday morning.
