Manistique gets a jump on the Fourth of July celebrations today.
It starts with the annual Kiddie Parade tonight in the downtown area. It starts at 6:00, with line-up starting at 5:30 at the post office.
The main independence day parade in Manistique is tomorrow at 12:30. There will be live music, food booths, and other activities all day long, before the fireworks over the Manistique Marina tomorrow night at dusk.
There’s also a Kids Parade in Naubinway tonight at 7.
The Iron Mountain-Kingsford parade is at 9:00 tomorrow morning, but fireworks aren’t until Sunday night.
In Delta County, fireworks are tomorrow night in Escanaba, but not until Sunday night in Gladstone, and the Gladstone parade is Sunday morning at 11.
Ishpeming’s parade is at 10:30 tomorrow morning, while Marquette’s is at noon Sunday. Fireworks are tomorrow night in Ishpeming; Sunday night in Marquette.
