The Marquette County Health Department is urging people who have not received the COVID-19 vaccine to get one soon.
That’s because of the rise of the more contagious delta variant of the coronavirus. Community Health Director Brianna Mileski says Marquette County’s first confirmed case of the variant was announced on July 20th, and since then, several other Upper Peninsula counties have also detected the variant. Call 475-78-44 to make an appointment to get one of the three vaccines that are on the market, You can also go to retailers like Meijer, Walgreens, Target, and Snyder Drug to get vaccinated. The department also suggests masks and social distancing.
