The Marquette County Health Department is urging more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19…and sooner rather than later.
County Medical Director Bob Lorinser says he realizes there’s confusion and frustration when public health suggestions keep changing, but he says that’s because the virus keeps changing. He says by getting vaccinated, you don’t eliminate the risk of getting infected, but he says your chances of dying or being hospitalized are much lower if you take the jab.
Lorinser added that he believes the virus will stay with us not for months, but for years.
