The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Monday announced 5,020 new positive test results for the past three days that included the weekend.
That’s an average of 1,673 new cases per day.
There were 21 new deaths reported over the past three days in Michigan. State officials also went through old death certificates and matched them to previous positive tests. They added ten six deaths to the statewide total.
Here in the Upper Peninsula, there were 134 new cases reported on Monday. That’s an average of 43 new cases per day.
The most new cases were in Delta County, with 30 new cases. Marquette County added 25 new positive tests and Menominee County had 20 new cases.
There were no new deaths reported in the Upper Peninsula the last three days.
