Did you know that each year three million people are treated in emergency departments for fall injuries? Not every fall results in an injury, but statistics show about one in five does result in a serious injury.
Michigan State University Extension is committed to empowering all older adults in Michigan to reduce their risk of falls, which are one of the greatest causes of serious injuries and death among people over age 65. During the week of September 20-24, MSU Extension is offering two opportunities for people to learn more about the free online/in person falls prevention classes it offers:
