The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Tuesday announced 6,313 new positive coronavirus test results for the past four days. That’s an average of 1,578 new cases per day, between last Saturday and yesterday.
There were 19 new deaths reported over the past four days in Michigan. State officials also went through old death certificates and matched them to previous positive tests. They added ten deaths to the statewide total.
Here in the Upper Peninsula, there were 212 new cases reported over the past four days. That’s an average of 53 new cases per day.
There was also one new COVID death reported in Dickinson County.
The most new cases came in Delta County, where 45 new positive tests were reported. Marquette County added 36 new cases and Dickinson County had 32.
