The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Monday announced 7,733 new positive coronavirus test results and 22 new COVID-related deaths over the three-day period of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
State officials also went through old death certificates and matched them to previous positive tests. They added 13 more deaths to the statewide total.
Here in the Upper Peninsula, there were 295 new cases reported over the three days, with the most coming in Marquette County with 78 cases. Delta County added 59 cases, 31 in Dickinson County, and 29 in Menominee County.
There were five new deaths reported in the U.P.: two in Houghton County, and one each in Delta, Marquette and Mackinac Counties.
