If you bought a Powerball ticket in Seymour for the Wednesday, September 29, drawing, you could be a millionaire. A $1 million ticket was sold yesterday at the Seymour BP, 234 N. Main St. The ticket matched all five numbers – 2-7-11-17-32 but not the Powerball number of 11. The jackpot is now estimated at $620 million for the Saturday, October 2, drawing.
Seymour BP is not unfamiliar with million-dollar tickets. The Lottery retailer sold a $1 million top prize Million Fortune scratch ticket in January of 2020. Seymour BP owner, Janardan Bhandari, stated, “I’m very happy to sell another million-dollar winning ticket.”
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a 2% incentive. For selling the $1 million Powerball ticket, BP Seymour will receive $20,000 as part of the Retailer Performance Program Winning Ticket Incentive.
The Seymour BP $1 million ticket was the fourth winning Powerball ticket of $1 million or more in Wisconsin in 2021.
