The Escanaba Recreation Department says the Ludington Park multi-use courts are now open, and can be used for both tennis and pickleball.
“The Recreation Department is excited that the multi-use courts are open for play,” Recreation Director Kim Peterson said. “The project took several years to finalize and obtain funding. I would like to thank the City of Escanaba and the various businesses and individuals that made this project happen.”
She says they’re in the process of painting permanent pickleball lines on the tennis courts at Rose Park, Veteran’s Park and Royce Park. There will be a storage unit there with portable pickleball nets. To use them, you need to call them to register your name, phone number and address, and they’ll give you the combination to unlock the storage unit.
