Northern Michigan University’s Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center and Center for Upper Peninsula Studies will present Sonderegger21, a conference about Upper Peninsula historical, cultural, economic and scientific topics, Friday, Nov. 5, at the Northern Center on campus.
The Sonderegger Symposium has been held since 2001. This year’s theme is “challenges.” The presentations will focus on past and present issues that the region has faced, while offering ideas for how to address them.
Admission is free and open to the public. There is no need to register. The public has two opportunities to view the sessions. They can attend in person or they can watch the stream of each room here. Face masks are required for in-person attendees.
