The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Monday announced 9,013 new positive coronavirus test results and 36 new COVID-related deaths over the three-day period of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
State officials also went through old death certificates and matched them to previous positive tests. They added 29 more deaths to the statewide total.
Here in the Upper Peninsula, there were two new deaths reported. Both of them were in Delta County. There were 228 new positive cases over the three-day period. The most were in Delta County, with 53 cases. Marquette County added 45 cases, Houghton County had 39, and Menominee County had 17 cases.
