The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Monday announced 21,034 new positive coronavirus test results and 68 new COVID-related deaths over the three-day period of Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
State officials also went through old death certificates and matched them to previous positive tests. They added 27 more deaths to the statewide total.
Here in the Upper Peninsula, there were four new COVID deaths reported: two in Mackinac County and one each in Menominee and Houghton Counties.
There were 461 new cases reported in the U.P. over those three days, with Marquette County having the most with 106 new positive test results. Delta County added 83 new cases, Houghton County had 77, and Dickinson County added 34.
