On 11/17/21 at approximately 8:00am, officers located Philips driving through the KI Sawyer Airforce Base and fled from officers after a traffic stop was attempted.
Philips led officers on a vehicle pursuit lasting several miles through Forsyth, West Branch and Sands Township with speeds upward of 99 miles per hour. Philips’ vehicle eventually came to a stop on M553 and Taylor Road in Sands Township after officers successfully deployed stop sticks.Phillips is currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail.
There were no injuries reported by anyone resulting from this incident. The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Forsyth Township Police Department.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a wanted fugitive.On April 13, 2021, Chenoa Rae Phillips, 19-years-old, was taken into custody and lodged at the Marquette County Jail on charges related to absconding from felony bond, removing her GPS tether and resisting and obstructing an officer.
On October 18, 2021, Phillips was released from jail with a PR bond and the condition that she be released directly to a treatment facility with a GPS tether.
On October 26, 2021, Phillips removed her tether and fled from the treatment facility.
