Rep. Jack Bergman (MI-01) joined Rep. Fred Keller (PA-12) and over 160 House colleagues introducing a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to formally disapprove of, and nullify, President Joe Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate imposed on America’s job creators and workers.
The Biden administration recently released details on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) mandating vaccination requirements for employees at private businesses with more than 100 employees. The rule will affect more than 80 million Americans and impose $14,000 fines for persons who do not comply. While rollout of the mandate has been temporarily halted by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, this CRA would ensure the rule never goes into effect.
Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) also introduced a companion bill in the Senate, garnering support of all 50 Republican Senators.
“President Biden’s unprecedented mandate harms First District workers and businesses. As I’ve said for months now, I personally made the choice to be vaccinated, but it is not the role of the federal government to force vaccinations on individuals and make businesses enforce these unconstitutional mandates. I’m proud to join with my colleagues in this fight against this massive government overreach,” said Rep. Jack Bergman.
