The Escanaba Public Library will begin adding Saturday hours on January 15, 2022. Saturday hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., giving patrons additional opportunities to come in and use the library’s in-house services. The library is also open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Friday for driveup and walk-in service.
In conjunction with first Saturday opening in nearly two years, the library will be holding a Winter Family Event featuring the new Storywalk book, “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats. Beginning at 1 p.m. there will be opportunities to build snow sculptures, enjoy refreshments provided by the Friends of the Escanaba Library, and do some snowshoeing with snowshoes provided by the Civic Center. People can also bring their own snowshoes to this event.
“We are excited to welcome the community back to the library on Saturdays and thank everyone for their patience and understanding during the down time,” said library director Carolyn Stacey.
The Escanaba Public Library is located at 400 Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba. For more information, visit the website at www.escanabalibrary.org or follow us on social media.
