The medical director for the Marquette County Health Department is sounding more optimistic about COVID-19 in the region, as case numbers drop and hospitalization numbers either hold steady or slightly decline. Doctor Bob Lorinser gave his COVID update on Monday, and said that there were 92 new cases on Saturday and 95 on Sunday. This compares with 257 cases on Friday.
