The Escanaba Public Library and the Friends of the Escanaba Public Library are hosting a live music series this summer. The performances will take place on Thursdays from 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. on the north lawn of the library.
June 9 – Awake for Birds – Madison, WI-based vocal duo
June 23 – Failte’ (pronounced FOL-che’) – local Celtic folk group
July 7 – Justin & the SwingBeats from Las Vegas, featuring local musicians John Beck, Kevin Chown, Phil Lynch, & Lorne Watson
July 21 – The Hearty Remedies (The Bender Family) – strings & story songs
August 4 – Augie & Theresa – local acoustic/electric oldies for easy listening
August 18 – Mardi Rouge – local jazz/funk/folkloric trio
There will also be an event on Saturday, July 16 at 1:00 p.m., featuring the harp & guitar duo The Stapletons. People are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and enjoy their lunch on the lawn during the performances. Several of the events will have food vendors on site.
