The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning for Alger, Luce, northern Schoolcraft, Chippewa, Gogebic, and Mackinac Countties, from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory for ice, snow, and rain, is in effect for Marquette, Delta, Menominee, southern Schoolcraft, Dickinson, Iron, Baraga, and Ontonagon Counties. And a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Houghton and Keweenaw Counties.
And a Lakeshore Flood Advisory is in effect in the Manistique area and throughout Delta, Menominee, and southern Schoolcraft Counties.

East to southeast winds gusting as high as 45 mph. Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power outages.

Total snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of one to three tenths of an inch. Power outages and tree damage are likely due to strong easterly winds and icing. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions are expected to impact the morning commute. Strong winds are expected to cause tree damage. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
