Bay College President Laura Coleman says the college is holding its own when it comes to battling COVID-19 spread.
Bay is nearing two full months of in-person instruction, without having to shift to virtual-only classes like some other schools have had to do. College President Laura Coleman says that things have gone “exceedingly well”, because everyone on campus has observed social distancing, wore masks, “washed their hands constantly”, and the cleaning crews have done their jobs keeping the buildings sanitized.
“It’s been an interesting semester, and very gratifying to see everybody step up and do what they’re supposed to do,” Coleman told RRN News.
Coleman spoke over the weekend as the college hosted its first athletic event of the pandemic: a cross country meet.
Bay had its first day of classes back on August 17th. Coleman says many students are taking a mixture of in-person and virtual classes.
