The Michigan Department of Transportation is set to begin work on a $2.7 million project in Dickinson County. They’ll resurface 6.1 miles of M-95 between M-69’s east junction near Felch and M-69’s west junction in Sagola.
The work includes asphalt milling and resurfacing, asphalt shoulder widening, shoulder aggregate, and pavement markings. This project includes a three-year pavement performance warranty.
The project is scheduled to start on Tuesday and should be done by early August. Motorists should expect intermittent single-lane closures utilizing traffic regulators.
M-DOT says the project will extend the lifespan of the pavement and will result in a smoother driving surface and increased safety for motorists. The wider paved shoulders will also increase safety for bicyclists and pedestrians.
